I am used to seeing the payouts get better at higher denominations, but the 9/6 JoB tables at 4Q it was the opposite. $.25 and $.50 had 9/6 but at the $1.00 level it was only 8/5. As a result I went down to $.50 bets.
Has anyone else seen this before? Any guess as to their rationale for doing that? I would have thought that they would try to encourage, not discourage higher limit play.
The 4Q has one of the most generous slot clubs in Vegas, so much so that they don't want to make it overly popular with pros. So they only give full slot club credit to quarter and 50-cent play on their 9-6 JOB and 10-7 DB. I am pretty certain I saw some dollar JOB machines on my most recent stay.
The D next door has one of the best quarter VP games going at the Vue Bar, and these games are linked to the Golden Gate. But you won't find anything that good at a higher denomination. So a skilled player can have fun and get free drinks, but it's no way to make a living.
