I just checked the VPinsider website and it does have the information on where decent Bartop Video Poker is in the Las Vegas Metro area for $0.25 and up machines.

You would need to go to the Search function and click on all of the parameters that you are looking for (including that they are on Bartop machines only).

There are a lot of bars at Southpoint with decent VP.

Of the casinos you mentioned, I found bartops with 99% or better games listed in vpFREE2.com for Tuscany, Orleans and Gold Coast.

You can do a basic search without logging in, but you must log in to search by machine type. (It's still free.) Under "Machines" chose "more..." and fill in your other parameters.

I was trying to be funny instead of simply asking the age old question that I'm sure has been asked a thousand times over, what is available for bartop VP play?

VPfree is very difficult and time consuming, but does give some info if you spend major time over repeated searches (I know, I did that with limted results). I think I try the VPinsider for $20 for 3 month subscription (for new members) a few months before our trip, then go on the yearly subscript if it works.

I'm also trying to find out what is generally available in bartop VP play in general on the strip and downtown.

I sometimes play at lower pay tables at the bar if it is within reason, for I love VP at the Bar.

I watched a youtube video today of side by side Royals at the Cosmopolitan Queue Bar.

Slowing down the youtube video, these two people were sitting next to each other at the bar and both got a royal flush within one spin of each other. They were playing 25cent VP full coin, one was JOB 8/5, and the other was DDB 9/6/4. Not too shabby for VP bartop in a place like the Cosmo at 25c!

In contrast, we will be staying at the Flamingo, and I cannot find anything about what their bartops are like. Yet, if the best VP they have is BP 7/5 at 25c, makes me wonder how bad their bartops are? Probably unplayable, like 6/5 bonus....

At least I know I can walk over and play VP 25c 8/5 jacks or 9/6 DDB at the Cosmo Queue bar. Also read something about the Book and Stable Bar being fun (Band?), but know nothing at to what it is.

So, any coments about VP Bar play on the strip or downtown at the quarter level would be appreciated.
I'll play VP bartops, even if the table is reduced some, if not too awful.

I love VP bartops for the drink service, and people generally like to chat some at the bars. Kind of makes it like playing at table games, more social. I guess that makes me a VP Bartop Slut, hehe.

BTW, I have read at the Wynn and Encore, no longer comp drinks at the VP bartops, yet they still comp out on the casino floor.

The whole purpose of playing bartops is for the better drink service, in exchange of the reduced pay tables. Now Wynn and Encore wants you to PAY for your drinks at bartop VP, and they reward you by giving you lowered VP pay tables????.... makes no sense at all.

Someone, somehere, mentioned more casinos are starting to do this? I hope not!!!
If so, then why have them at all? Just rip them out.....for you'll never see me at one again, for even sluts have their limits!!!

Orleans bars for 8/5 BP are awesome...GC is great for 9/6 JOB over a .25 ...at a .25 it is 9/5 Progressive...Island BAr and sit by Ray great times!
