VP Slut

The Orleans has pretty much been our home a way from home while in Vegas. We've stayed here three times and have even double booked here and The Rio since we had free rooms at both. We are pretty low rollers and typically play nickle VP at the Orleans and still get offers, so I'm sure you'll get something. We love their weekend brunch with all the champagne you can drink.....we usually try to book our Sat/Sun nights there so we can stagger back up to our rooms.

Our trip in August will really be our first trip with a larger bank roll since we have our summer business completely paid off and will more expendable income to use. Typically I always use vpfree.com to figure out what machines we'll be playing. 3 out of the 4 trips we've come home with $$$ in hand. My favorite machines are the Triple Play Progressive nickles just in across from the buffet......there is another set of them up near the front....I usually play which ever has the highest progressives.

For cheaper bottled water and snacks, I heard there is a place right next to the Stage Door, right behind the Flamingo on Flamingo Road. Shorter walk than going to the 7-11.

Elevators by the buffet/pool area are less crowded than the one in the Casino, front desk area.

Harrah's has the worst VP in KC, but just a little nickel play here and there insures us of free rooms anytime we want.

The free rooms are like crack to us....so not only are we vp sluts, we are comped room whores as well. We figure that if we stay 3 to 4 nights free in KC, Stl Louis, Council Bluffs, Tunica and Biloxi several times a year and 5 or 6 in Vegas free the mere losses from the crappy VP have paid for itself.

Well yes, if your losses are less than the cost of all of these room nights would be, then you're not going about things in a bad way! As long as there is a good method to your "madness" (in getting this Free stuff -- which isn't that bad), then it's all good!

It is all true listed above..

How much does that free room going to cost you?

In Tampa, on very special nights, at the cheapest, it is low $139+ and that is rare, but it happens sometimes.

So I do not undertand what the person says above, that the other person is over paying for a room.

Compared to Vegas, Yes, Yes, Yes. Compared to Tampa HR, they are golden.....

Yet, I feel with what the person said, along with the Tampa HR room cost, they are doing OK, with what they have available to them in their state... We know it is not a good deal compared to Vegas.

The Tampa HR , in my opinion, compared to what they are doing, they have the better deal!

When you add in the cost of a Flight to Vegas, does the better VP tables pay off?

In my opinion, yes it does, for I know in heart, VP at the HR Tampa, casino Boats, etc, are rigged.

That is the only reason I spend so much extra money to go to Biloxi, or Las Vegas.

If I really believed the VP in Florida was not rigged, why would I ever spend an extra dime to travel outside of Florida, to play the exact same game?

Airfare is not cheap at all...

It is possible that the $2 9/6 Jacks Or Better (which could be viewed as at least a somewhat playable game) is not rigged, but when you are playing this game at $10 a hand, the question needs to become whether it is worth it to do if most especially there are no Slot Club benefits to add to this? That just makes it bad no matter what because that game will always be a negative game.

When you get 99.54% Payback from the game itself but plus no other return from any other source, that would still leave it as being a negative game and so it would be not too likely for a player to end up with any kind of profit at any time unless maybe you were to quit at one time when you were ahead and then never played again.

I think I read this right, but maybe not..... I do not trust my own eyeballs anymore... hehe..

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If I do not trust a casino, I play at the minimum VP for entertainment only...

To get to a 9/6 JOB pay table, at $2 VP = $10 a play, on machines, that are not regulated, machines never opened to see if the SEALED TAPE over the brain chip has not been broken.

Wow, you do that?

When the Game Kings come from the factory, the Brain Chip (PORM), has a taped seal over it. If you remove it, you void the warrenty. In Vegas, that is a violation that can cause lose of license.

For others like the HR, it is just a void of warrenty. There are no inspectors to open up machines in Florida. Yet, the Tribal council says they will monitor themselves....... hehe believe what you want.

It is a type of tape that when you remove it, parts of it stays on the chip, and there is..

No way to place the tape back over, without leaving traces that the tape was removed.

If and when, you get a chance to see a slot tech open a VP machine, the seal is always torn, from what I see at the HR, period!

It is always torn. Which means, chip has been removed, and replaced with ???

For your benefit, or their's...?

You fill in the blank....
Well then if that is what is going on, then you have two choices -- to play anyway or not play and save your money for something (that actually could end up being a lot better elsewhere).

People have to remember that nobody is forcing them to play at any time! They can get up and leave and/or refuse to play and tell as many people about it as possible.

It is for entertainment only, and is why I slow play quarters (Their lowest), instead of 50c or dollars.
nmterlv, do you ever get comp rooms at HR in Tampa? I never have, even when I was playing more, but I know a few locals who play slots there and have gotten comp rooms. All I've ever gotten from marketing is some FP and free lunch buffets.

Ok, but I couldn't get myself to do that since you seem to say that the machines could be returning as low as 80% in Florida.

I personally would not want to play that badly enough to want to play a game with such a potentially low return.

If I were in that situation, I would just rather practice and wait until I could get to a place like Las Vegas.

That is all I get at the HR, same as you, (FP, sometimes some kind of food offer, mostly FP) but remember I give them mediocre play.

The two times we have been in Vegas, we casino bounced and never gave anyplace a ton of play, and got free room offers. First time was Ballys and played 1/2 of our night budget between Ballys and Paris, 1/2 other places. Got free room offers for Ballys and Paris (and others), which we used for trip number two, stayed at both places. We loved Paris, and got a high floor Bellagio Fountains view room using $20 trick. We were as high as you could go, without the special elevator pass key to the top two floors. It was the best room/view we ever had, anywhere, including Vegas.

Then we could not afford a trip in 2003, and was dropped off everyones radar. Now we have to re-establish ourselves, but will devote most of our play per night at one place, each night somewhere different.
