The website vpgenius has not worked for several weeks. Does anyone know if it will ever come back?

I have been able to play 9/6 Jacks on it and Pick 'Em Poker but it's unfortunately been a long time since I've been able to get it to do the calculations and come up with a strategy chart that it previously was able to do.

So I don't know what's up with that site, but I wish that it would work as good as it used to!

Well if you don't mind paying $9.99 winpoker now has an Iphone app for video poker. It is Zamzone Software and it works great. They also have a version for regular computers too.

I have it on my iPad and love it. The only app I've ever paid for.

VPgenius was created by JB at the Wizard of Odds site, but he sold it to a new owner who hasn't maintained the functionality.

I'm not sure which features you were using on the site, but some or all capabilities have been reproduced at Wizard of Odds. The calculator links are on the site's front page in the "Game Calculators" section.

You can calculate game returns and strategy, or analyze the options for a particular hand.

On the Iphone/Ipad app you can analyze any hand as well as look up the volitility of each game and also change the paytables. This becomes important when you find a progressive that is way up there on a normally short pay game. You just change the royal flush amount and hit analyze and you can tell if it is a positive game. It also will tell you the strategy variations required when playing a progressive with a high jackpot.
