I'm a slot attendant, and I love having food on my table, and there would be very little food on my table if I made no tips. Anything is appreciated, but I think 1% is decent. I have worked at this job for almost ten years, and I can tell you that it varies greatly. Several times I have had to count out $25,000 in cash and did not receive a dime. And I have paid $1200 and gotten a $200 tip a few times. That is how greatly it varies. I hate to go in a restaurant and pay $100 for $15 worth of food, and then be expected to tip the waiter, but I do it anyway, because I know that like me, they are working mostly for tips and if I don't tip, I am hurting the waiter, not the restaurant. That being said, when I pay you, it's your money, and it's up to you do what you want to do, and if you don't tip me, I'll just have to hope the next person does. As for who to tip, in the casino where I work, if I pay less than $5,000, I pay it alone. If it's over that, I must have a manager with me, and they cannot accept tips. But most places do require a witness for jackpots, and I've always assumed that they split whatever they get. I would tip the person who pays me the money.
