whats the best vp

Thanks everyone for the info
Looking forward to our trip in October to try out the new info
Check to see that in my previous posting I've added more information including a site (the Wizard Of Odds website) where you can practice hands (on 9/6 Jacks Or Better) and it will tell you whether you are making any errors!

And always make sure that you can recognize every part of a hand.

For example, with a hand such as: 6H-6C-7C-8C-9D, you have three different options as to what is best to hold (and what is best to hold will also depend on the game's pay schedule).

So here, your options would be:

a). The Low Pair (6H-6C);

b). The 3-Card Open Ended Straight Flush With No High Cards (6C-7C-8C);

and c). The 4-Card Open Ended Straight With No High Cards (either 6C-7C-8C-9D or 6H-7C-8C-9D).

With "9/6 Jacks Or Better," the best move would be to hold the Low Pair (6H-6C) but with a game the may pay more than normal for Straights and Flushes (such as "10/7/5 Double Bonus Poker"), the best move would actually be to hold the 4-Card Straight.

Playing strategy errors in Video Poker can lower the game's overall return anywhere from an additional 2% to Six Percent! So that can make even a good returning game, go bad.

As for me, I prefer to play a game that in and of itself returns no less than 99.1% but really I want it to be at least 99.5%.

But there is somewhat of a factor as to what percentage you are getting out of the Casino's Slot Club (which you really need to join and have your card properly inserted and accepted into the machine's card reader) in terms of Cashback or Freeplay and Comps.

And do take advantage of promotions going on but then again, don't get too carried away with chasing after some promotion, because that could end up becoming too costly (where you may end up losing more than the item that you're going after is worth)!

I must admit my hubbie plays VP more than me i'm a bit wreckless and play the 1c Cleopatra or keno 25c, and then up the stakes with 5 times $1 machine or wheel of fortune when I get bored with VP.
We find the machines in Paris a bit tight so we move around a bit we do most of the hotels even off strip we go to Silverton,Sams Town , Green Valley and New Orleans.

If you want to play quarter video poker, Sam's Town, Green Valley Ranch and the Orleans have better schedules than any Strip hotel.
thanks for the info I need all the help I can get those $'s don't last long

You're welcome! And yes, with better pay schedules combined with better playing strategy and a good enough Slot Club return, your money is more likely to last longer (even if you don't care whether you win or lose)!

Double Double Bonus was kind to me last weekend. And the winpoker app is a must.
But make sure that you do not use any casino game related phone apps inside any casino (especially in Nevada casinos) because it can be viewed as being a Felony.
