WOF State Progressive

Everyone is familiar with the statewide progressive slots in Nevada.....specifically the Wheel of FOrtune Progressive at the .25 cent  denomination.

The older machines have max coin of 75 cents.    The newer machines allow for max coin much higher than that....lets say $2.50.       Do both machines have the same chance of hitting the progressive on any given spin?  Or is the $2.50 machine 3x as likely as the 75 cent machine?

I'm usually good to dump a Benjamin in these at some point during my trip.    If the older machines have the same chance as hitting as the newer once then I'll stick with those.

I don't know how to verify this, but an article I read about the WoF slots pre-pandemic said that the max-bet increases were intended to make the progressive grow faster, while retaining the same approximate chance of being hit.
