FTP points/ Iron man medals

It sounds like we can still cash in our points an medals for merchandise. Some people were trading in their points for tournament tickets (since the sites have said they will reimburse those as cash in a settlement), but those transactions are no longer allowed. In the settlement release, it said that the sites were allowed to reimburse the cash value of points, but they are not required to. And until it happens we still don't know if/when it will occur.

So is anybody spending there points on merchandise. I think if I convert 2000 iron man medals to FTP points I can scrape together 180k FTP points. Think I should just get some merchandise? Or wait and see what happens?
I'm waiting to see what happens. Of course, I have 14,000 medals and 860,000 points. That's about $8000.

By the way, where did you see that FTP said they'd reimburse cash value for tourney tickets? (PS HAS said that.) Also, are you sure you are unable to buy tourney tickets on FTP? I was able to trade my ironman tourney tickets in for medals this morning without a problem and I am staring at the sale screen for tournament tickets in the Ironman store as we speak. Not sure if it would allow me to buy or not though, but I'm not ready to commit to the purchase yet.

I'm hoping maybe someone will add freedom to the store or at least some foreign real estate in a free country like communist china where you are free to play poker on the internet from your own home if you so choose.
FTP has been less committal I guess. The following is from FTPDoug an FTP spokesperson:

"3. i am assuming i will get my account money back eventually, but what i am worried about is ft points, medals, and iron man status.

- Yes, you will get your money back. If/when US players are able to play again in the future, we will preserve your continuing months for Iron Man (and Black Card status if you have that). Nobody will be penalized in those programs for not being able to play because of this.

4. as for fulltilt points and medals, either some kind of way to convert to cash if we are forced to cashout or a promise to preserve the current value of the points in our account until the day US players are allowed again.

- One of those two options is nearly certain to be the way it will go."

As for tourney tickets, cash bonuses and ring game tickets, someone twittered the change yesterday. In my iron man store, this is what it says:

"Play for the winner's share of a prize pool guaranteed to be worth at least $750,000. Join us at 18:00 ET every Sunday to win your slice of the money.

These tickets can be used to buy in directly to the $750K Sunday Guarantee tournament of your choice.

You are not permitted to buy this item when located within the United States."

I had just traded in 460k points for a 2k bonus that I'd only cleared half of, so who knows what will happen to the rest of that bonus.

Thanks for the info.

By the way, wags... How badly is this affecting you? Are you doing okay?

You have a PM.
No rakeback today, despite my rakeback provider intimating that the site wanted to give players the rakeback they had earned.

I tried to access the Full Tilt Store over the weekend and received a message that the store wasn't available to me.

Are you referring to the regular or Ironman store, wags?

Bummer, they shut the store down since my post.
