Getting $ Out of PS and FTP...

I got a few hundred in Stars, and a few bucks in UB and FTP. I don't know if it's worth the trouble to cash out. I was thinking of just leaving it there for when they get things up and running again.

Think it's gonna happen?? Or will I just lose it if I leave it in there? I'll cash out if that's the probable outcome.

Did anybody just leave a few dollars in there to keep the account open, or is that a waste also?

My thoughts are, if you're cool leaving it in there at least a year or more (or five), it's fine. I don't think you'll lose it, but I don't think those sites will be open for business very soon.

Second, your account will remain open regardless of whether your money is in there. I'm sure my Stars account is still open, and I haven't had money in there in a long time.

I mostly agree with wags. At first I didn't want to remove my money, or at least all of it, probably primarily because I was in denial and also because of the worry of having to redeposit it. However, should this thing ever become legal again, I'm sure the redeposit process will be easy and i'm sure they'll all be offering bonuses to reload you account so I removed my stars roll. (for what it's worth, after being asked to submit ID on stars and finally doing so yesterday, the money is in my account today.) I haven't touched my FTP roll or the few hundred bucks I have on UB, but only because as far as I am aware they are not ready to allow cashouts yet. I am also very concerned about the significant amount of dollars I have in points and medals on FTP.

Anyway, long story short, I'd say take it out of stars for sure and out of FTP and UB unless it is so significantly small that the future rakeback hit (assuming they ever come back) you would take from the withdrawal would cost you more than you are withdrawing.

Can you give the full URL please? Or is it pokerstars.eu? I tried formatting an .eu URL using what I did for Full Tilt to get a SW update, but I received the FBI warning page on Stars.

You probably already saw (via email from support) that FTP said word would be out this week on how US players could get their money out; but as of last night, I had not received any email from them.

Anybody heard anything?

I think the original notice stated FTP would provide additional information "the week beginning May 2." A cynic might translate that evasive politico-speak as "by Sunday May 8."

As for the software update, I think the window I used has since been nailed shut.

Stars cashouts have been hitting mailboxes and bank accounts of players in the last few days (including my own and at least two other forum members).

I was able to download the client today and process a cashout for my $86.31.

Fucking feds, had to download a bunch of crap I don't need in order to install it.

But my $$ is on the way.
