Over/Under bet

I booked a $5 bet with a friend of mine that the ME will get 50% or less players than last year. Because so many players qualified through online sattelites I just dont see how the WSOP can get 7300 players again..

When I went to play on friday my local casino almost ran out of tables it was so busy.. hadnt seen it that busy in years.. Certainly the casual players came out in droves to play.. This should help in the short term..

I went to Barona on Saturday night and the list had like 16 people on it. I am growing increasingly impatient with waits of more than 10 or 15 minutes. No way will I sit around for an hour to play cards.
I'll bet the over. And if you think card rooms being busier is a good thing, take a guess at who most of the additional players are... I'd bet they're mostly the winning grinders. Having a higher percent of them around is not a good thing in my eye.
Oh... I forgot. It's immoral to bet on the internet. I retract my previous statement.

the list was huge at the 50-100 and the 100-300 games. cant be grinders there since the rake is just too high..

I will book the bet with you todd as I just dont see how the wsop can get 7300 players with no us internet support. Does anyone have statistics on how many us players sattied into the me?

I may not be using the term correctly, but I meant by grinder people that played a lot of hands, nothing to do with the buy in.
