It states that US customers of pokerstars have been locked out of real money cash games..

is the end near?

The only thing surprising to me is that this didn't come a lot sooner. The Big Three were in full and obvious violation of the law, as far as U.S. cash customers are concerened. The evidence against them is undeniable.

You dance to the music, you've gotta pay. I have zero sympathy for them.

The government is seeking $3 billion in penalties and assets.

I've never gambled online. No need to, as San Diego County has more "real" casinos than you can shake a stick at.

This could be interesting for the WSOP coming up. You might see fields cut in half or better.

Doubt they would go after any individual players though.

Lol, laws that should never have been written as they denied American freedom....written by the corrupt Bill Frist added in secret in a late night session. Frist has since left his service in disgrace.

Uh. No they are not. Many legal opinions are that they are in compliance with the law. So, whether or not those legal opinions are "right", it certainly isn't full and obvious.
The problem, tss, is that the companies committed bank fraud and engaged in extensive money laundering. They will likely plead out, as there is a mountain of evidence against them.
Last night I could sign in to Full Tilt and play, but I could not connect to the Withdrawal portion of the Cashier.

This morning I can't get signed in because there is an update, which I can't get, getting a "cannot download update." message.

All of the effing problems we have in this country, and these assholes have to go after the poker sites, wtf? Legalize them already, the number of players will probably triple, and the gummint can make some $ on the deal. GD idiots.
I just hope you all that have dollars on the sites get your money in a reasonable time. From somethings i've read may be never.

Would you like to provide one piece of that evidence? I'm not saying it doesn't exist. I've just never seen a lick of it. Now the payment processors... that's another story.

I would guess the dollars will be safe. The 10+ k cash equivalents in tournament tickets, points, medals, etc. and the less obvious valued item such as frequent player statuses may be gone.
