What Would You Do ?

This is a question we posed on the radio show that I co-host. If you were to win the WSOP Main Event and the tournament director came up to you and said. You have to decide to
A) Take the bracelet and the opportunity to market your self as the WSOP Main Event Champion but you must leave the $10,000,000 behind
or
b) Take the $10,000,000 and there will be no winner listed for theis year and you can not claim the win or use it to promote yourself.

...What do you do?

Interesting in that Mark Hoke along with our other co-host Nate Downland have selected the same choice and I picked the other.

Interested to hear what you would do.

The show that I Co-Host is the Mark Hoke show and we are doing daily shows right from the WSOP Tournament along with a weekly show on KLAV 1230AM on Wednesday afternoons at 3PM Pacific Time

Take the money and run
You definitely take the money... maybe $7 million after taxes?

This isn't the golden age of poker any longer when there were hundreds of online sponsored pros with book deals and media appearances. You'd be hard pressed to earn $7 million by just promoting yourself.

You also need to know your own limitations and if you are marketable. Look at the last several Main Event winners dating back to Jerry Yang, Jamie Gold, etc... Are guys like Greg Merson and Joe Cada making millions in endorsement deals? I think that ship has sailed.
Whats really crazy about this and made me post this question is Mark Hoke who host a weekly radio show about poker say hands down he is leaving the money behind and he claims he will make double that in promoting himself. I'm calling CRAZY/BULLSHIT

His show is on KLAV 1230 am here in Las Vegas on Wednesday's at 3PM

It can be heard on the internet at KLAV1230.com
