American Horror Story & Prohibition

So tonight is FX Amer. Horror Story.
I have high expectations

PS The Good Wife is so smart/sly/sharp this year~~Kudos to the writers and actors.

Forgot to record Prohibition; will have to search to see if it is being rerun. So I am settling for Boardwalk Empire. Looks like Nucky is lucky to have taken up with Margaret Schroeder - one sharp woman. THe best part so far this season is Steve Bucemi keeping his clothes on & few closeups of his face

Playboy Club is the first show to go down. What will be next? I am betting Free Agents

Free Agents is Friends-lite that i don't care about nor have any like-abilty
but my guess is Pam Am or that Mario Bello show..Prime Suspects is it?

I happened to come across prohibtion while a little late night channel surfing sitting here in our suite on 35th floor overlooking the southern end of town of excess. A little ironic to be sure as i had just come up from the casino and the totally free flow of alcohol down there.

Sure seems things couldve been wayyyy different if the temperance had caved just a little bit,but nope,not an inch. By god it was an amendment and it was staying. That woman who was the pres of the womens christian temperance movement(name escapes me),man,she was a peice of work. Talk about your holier than thou attitude and im betterr than everyone,i speak for all women bitch,cant imagine meeting her in real life(not to mention,she has to be one of the homliest women ive ever seen).

A great show,well done,then again most pbs shows are.

Didn't realize we'd be seeing so much ass (Dylan McDermott if you missed it).
Storyline has many interesting possibilities. Have now set the DVR to get this because...........
it's on the same time as my newest guilty pleasure - REVENGE. My new nightime soap. Hope I'm not the only person watching this one. Emily is one tough b*tch.

AMS thoughts:
I watched it friday as soon as i could- I got freaked out at some of the images and that burned mans evil grin as he tried to warn Dylan McDermotts charactor.
It was frightening- that basement- the downs sysdroym girl...
Fun to watch Frances Conroy and Jessica chew up the dialogue.

I want to like American Horror Story. And, I might at some point. Unfortunately, my first thought after watching the pilot was, "How many more of these do I have watch?" I feel obligated, but not particularly interested. Definitely creepy, unpleasant and mean-spirited. That equation might add up to scary, once the story unfolds.

My DVR will keep grabbing them until I make up my mind (or I cancel my cable, which is an unhappy monthly consideration). Meanwhile, I have The Walking Dead to keep me warm.

Prohibition, I've watched twice. We are an amusing bunch of primates ... I'll tell you that for nothin'.

AHS is keeping my interest- it's very Dark Shadows soapy..but I so knew that ball was gona roll back in the basement. very 1978 Stephen Kingy of them/yawn

I'm not a huge horror fan, but I think American Horror Story is one of the best new shows I've seen. Something big happens every week. Not sure if they can keep this up but it's sure fun to watch them try.
