Another Dancing with the Stars Shocker

Everyone has their standards.
I gave myself props for not watching The Batchelorette this season. lol

DWTS is fun to watch-- it's a endurance contest- takes work, constant practice and egos to dance LIVE on TV-- it's entertainment and since I adore Barry Manilow for 40 years--~~ I am immune to those who disregard my tastes.
who cares what other people think of me?
you know this guy is a grumpy old crabapotimus
SYTYCD is tonight wheeeeeee
So You Think You Can Dance is my favorite show. I love it. I love reality tv.

Isn't it the greatest number of text votes that crowns a winner ???

Therefore, all the winner needs is to have a large base of dedicated friends and family that are willing to text their brains out.

It just goes to show you that with Jerry Springer, Maury, Judge Judy, Lost and the other low brow forms of "entertainment" just where the mental and moral compass is with today's adult. I should not be surprised because I know that most of these adult viewers grew up with daytime soap operas as the focal point of their existence. I know that my comments will not go well with many, that is fine with me. At least I have a life that does not revolve around this type of moronic behavior.

I have to tell you, i can't stop laughing!

This forum is for members who are into Las Vegas. Home to gambling, prostitution, drinking on the streets, illicit drugs, partying, etc. You, drmilled, are a member. And, yet, you see a few tv shows as "low brow" entertainment?? Really?

Made my morning. Thanks!

Josie- I am glad I am able to start your day off with a smile. Enjoy! Apparently I need to readjust my "moral" compass. Naa, I don't think so.
I don't think there is a need for any re-adjusting, either. Just thinking that most of America would view Las Vegas in general as "low brow" entertainment.

But, not me, of course . . .

Tv snobs have always cracked me up. Trying tell you what you should or shouldn't watch. I don't care for reality shows, but if someone enjoys them, more power to 'em. It's a bit like a wine snob telling you that a riesling is a poor choice with red meat and you should be drinking a cab or a merlot etc. Years ago I attended a wine seminar sponsored by one of our distributors. The speakers were comprised of winery owners wine makers. Traditional and some unique wine/food parings were discussed. To a man (sorry ladies, they just happened to all be male), each speaker added that the best wine for a cutsomer to purchase with a meal would be the one they enjoyed most. Too many people spend far too much time worrying about how others should act instead of paying attention to their own act.

Good Luck!
