I used to watch the highlights of the Notre Dame game on Sunday mornings when I was a kid in the 60's-70's and have been a big fan ever since. When they first won a couple of games, I asked myself "Are they really that good?" Then the squeakers, the OT wins, the lucky plays.....I asked myself "Are they really that good?" NOw they have beat USC and granted SoCal didn't have their #1 quarterback, but they are #1 and they have had a great season, regardless of what happens in the national championship game.

GO IRISH!!!!!

Not a ND supporter by any means. But, I was last night cause I can't stand the thought of an all SEC final again as last year! It hurt the TV ratings and bored most of the country.
This is good for college football that the Irish will be in the BCS final. Don't think they can beat Bama but at least a new face amongst the final.

The TV ratings will be through the roof, that is a good thing.

Being from Ohio is is considered a sin to cheer for anyone other than the Buckeyes. LOL. Even though I don't like how Kelly left UC to go to ND you have to like the underdog/overlooked team getting no. 1. Agree that I don't think they can beat Bama but great to see ND in the BCS game. The players all seem like a good bunch and speak so highly of each other and not just of themselves.

I'm a Wisconsin Badger fan, and we know the Big Ten won't be in the championship game. Now, I say, anyone but the SEC. GO IRISH!!!
I also watched that highlight show back in the late 60's.

Thank-you for bring a smile to a day. Our area of the country is so gun ho in sports I forget other areas are not. My jr high math teacher used football to teach stats and percentages, I wore my brother's dirty football uniform to trick or treat one year (my mother wanted me to go as a princess), and my home use to be decorated in used sports equipment thanks to my 2 boys. Also our small town football team won the state title last night--whoo-hoo.
