Big jobs bill in the House (pol)

People need to stop giving the GOP a hard time. Just because they cant find room on the docket for the president's job bill doesn't mean they dont have their own job creating initiatives. Why just last week they tried to pass a massive job creator by readdressing the way our country approaches abortion.

And then today they put up another bill that is sure to put millions back to work if ony it can get through the obstructionist Senate....reasserting the "In God we Trust" motto for the nation.

In God We Trust Bill

You know that little "In God We Trust" motto on the dollar bill? It doesn;t get on there by itself. You need a million artists to scribe it on there individually. JObs, jobs, jobs....
I don't get the "create jobs" thing as a political concept.

A stupid phrase to exite stupid people...
Oh, yeah...jobs...oohh...great idea...gotta vote for that guy for sure.

As if it's the government's 'job' to get me or anybody a job.

Funnny. Thats exactly how I would describe a bill that simply reaffirms something that already exists
Or "excite."

Your elected representatives at "work"- and you expected more?
I don't understand why PJ isn't upset with Harry Reid for voting against the Senate version of Obama's last half trillion dollar "jobs" bill.
Though PJ is perfectly capable of answering for himself Senator Reid originally voted for the bill but changed his vote due to arcane legislative rules. Here summarized:

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) originally voted in favor, but changed his vote to ‘no’ in a procedural move to keep open the option of raising the issue again without filing for cloture.

Actually the House has passed 15 bills to stimulate the economy but most of them are sitting in the senate as harry reid won't allow a vote.

The bills are more effective than passing bills to hire more govt employees. So who is the party of No?
