First thought I had when I heard this was of the Cincinnati Reds. After winning back to back World Series in 1975-76, they traded Tony Perez. It didn't make sense and took them 14 years to get back to the Fall Classic. Hopefully won't take that long for the Blackhawks.
So far, Panarin has made Blackhawk fans forget all about Saad. For the record, I wasn't amongst the happy when the deal was done, however Panarin and an improved Teravainen have gotten the job done at least so far.
