Board is very sLOW

Today the board is very SLOW. The past two/three weeks have not noticed it but today it really slow down.
It sped up again this evening and is acceptable - but at lunchtime I just gave up - it was way too frustrating.
Anthony said it was being completely rebuilt this year, and promised faster access speeds.
I am looking forward to that.
Waiting forever for it to load kinda takes the fun out of it.

Yea, we have heard that shit before. Well actually about every year, never seems to change much.
Very nice post. You're the kind of customer we really value here.

Well Anthony, is this not true? How long have we been waiting for "faster loading"? You should know better than anyone that it has been a "standing issue" for the past few years.
Yes it is slow can not wait for the update, 5 years or so ago much faster, not sure what happened is there that many more users? I hope there is.
Site remains quick for me. Windows 7, desktop, Firefox. Less than two seconds from the moment I open threads (usually in a new tab) to seeing the content. Not saying others don't have problems, they certainly do, for whatever reason. But slowness is not a universal problem.

I'm looking for a revamp because this style of forum is clumsy and dated.
Windows 7, desktop and laptop, wired and wireless, Firebox or Safari or IE ... glacial mated with molasses from Nome.

iPad2, Apple OS (whatever the hell one), wireless, Safari ... molasses from Nome mated with glacial.
Temporarily, I'm down to an ancient iMac with an obsolete OS. I use Firefox, which won't stop telling me my plugins are outdated. I can't stream Netflix or Hulu, and Flashplayer won't run on Facebook. And yet, I have very few issues with the speed of this site. And on my Kindle ... no problems at all.

I can appreciate the frustration, however. When I run Photoshop, Illustrator and Firefox simultaneously, I eventually get the "rainbow wheel of doom," which continues to spin until I force-quit and reboot. No amount of cursing or desk pounding will appease the wheel. But that's another story, and slightly off-topic.

Unless I'm mistaken, recent attempts to upgrade to a faster format incited much sturm und drang. In spite of that, I believe an upgrade is inevitable.
