So why should we believe he would follow thru on this latest storyline?
Except this isn't owebama's analysis is it? This isn't coming from his campaign or from MoveOn.org - its coming from a non-partisan group comprised of both Democrats and Republicans...and unlike our resident conservatives on these boards they actually have the courage to do the very simple math of the plans put fourth by EVERYONE.

Oh come on PJ,of course its the "PLAN" put forth by all, but what will actually BE are two entirely different things. Name one president who actually accomplished this. Sorry man but hoops is corrct here, what obama said back in '08 and what really (as we all know) happened aren't even close to anything he said. I could post those top ten broken promises by him,but everyone read them the first time i posted it. This promise of cutting the deficit in half is definitely going to be played up big time come november( along with the other things) and the dems are a might antsy over it.
I for one am absolutely, positively not going to be naive enough to believe that whatever budget/deficit reduction crap any of them put forward is actually going to happen. IT'S NOT. Plain and simple.

....And what they show is the "new and improved" Republican Party that has allegedly learned their lesson from the Bush years has done anything but. The new champions of fiscal responsibility led by the debt-tackling tea party support plans that are scored to make our debt much worse than the president who they criticize on this exact issue. Do you need more proof that Republicans no longer stand for anything other than getting rid of the president?
-----------------------------------------------
Of course thats what the republicans are doing,ummm..thats what the opposing partys do,campaign for there guy regardless if he's an incompetant leader and do whatever it takes to keep the other out of office. I will say the rep. party is looking like a bunch of bumbling monkeys trying to f*ck a football right now and man o man,are the dems eating that up right now as they should.
I truly feel there will not be anyone actually living up to any "champion of fiscal responsibility" or whatever either ends up claiming they will be,odds of that happening are probably about the same as me hitting a royal this year and i have no casino trips in the forseeable future.
Regardless of who wins this nov.,i'm afraid for our future and i don't see the debt coming down anytime soon.
I will finish with this. If things actually improved in BOs first term,i would consider voting for him,BUT,as it stands he has shown he is definitely no leader, great speaker, but no leadership qualitys and also has been a model of incompetence since ford and carter.
