Casino Player Magazine Question

I no longer subscribe to Casino Player and I have found it impossible to find a copy at any newsstand, even in Atlantic City.

I have a question for any subscriber on the boards. I assume they are still publishing the monthly gaming stats from various locales. However, are they publishing any numbers for the casinos in New York City Metro area (Yonker's and Aqueduct Raceways)?

Since these casinos have VLT's rather than normal slots or video poker, I wonder what payout percentages people are getting, and if anyone is telling.

Hope someone still subscribes and can fill me in.

Thanks,

Ned in NYC
I remember reading that the payouts are in the mid to high 80% range
According to the ACG, no public information is released on payouts. The law authorizing the VLM machines states that the average payouts on all machines combined can not be less than 90%.
With that said- I've been to the Big A twice and payouts appear to be few and far between. I went once for myself, and took my aunt the second time. I doubt I'll be back unless she wants to go again.

There are no stats published in Casino Player

I had a feeling they weren't going to release the figures. At 90%, they are going to take your money plenty fast enough. I plan to take a trip to Aqueduct sometime after the first of the year, but it is more out of curiosity than any plan to play the machines. No way will they get my business away from Atlantic City.

Local Civilians bring it up to me now and then.... It's not gambling if it's a Class ll or Class lll casino..
Video terminals- Bah
Good question, Ned- good reminder why not to go..

Much like Indian gaming. They publish no returns nor promise anything! New York casinos seem to be following the same premise! Yikes! I lose my money quick enough at 90 plus% returns.
Casino Player is still around? Rag. And the equally vapid Strictly Slots?
