Sorry that happened to you. I made a donation to Goodwill last year and somehow my wallet fell out of my pocket. This was 3 days before I was going to Vegas, so I had my passport, my Gov't issued ID, and a piece of paper from the DMV that said I could legally drive.

As luck would have it, I hit a $2k jackpot at Casino royale, and they did everything in their power to deny me the jackpot because I didn't have an actual driver's license w/ my picture on it. Took over an hour to get them to pay me. Crazy that I had no problems getting on a plane, but given the 3rd degree at a casino.

It's a shame people like us have to do all of the extra work just to get our lives and security back. Glad it sounds like you're good to go now.

Bushman...I had a similar event at a downtown casino where I'm hosted and where I'd collected a fair number of W2-G's. In other words, I was in their system. I presented my paper, temporary driver's license issued by the official entity in my state. The slot supervisor rather sternly told me he would "bend the rules" and pay me the jackpot, but, since it was a paper i.d., any future jackpots would need to be held at the cage. I laughed and said I'd be happy to leave the property after being paid. Host dropped by during the conversation and assured the slot supervisor everything was good and future jackpots need not be held. After a few minutes away, the slot supervisor returned, paid me, and bent over backwards to explain that further research showed my paper i.d. was fine. Yeah, I left anyway without any big show or gripes. And I've been back since. But TSA and my LV bank branch had no issue. Just a slot supervisor at a casino. Sheesh.
