Deadliest Catch Returns

Starts Tuesday night April 12th. Discovery Channel has been running marathons since the week-end refreshing everyone's memory.

What a hard way to make a living - makes good TV though!

You have to feel sorry for Jake Anderson. From what I've read they still haven't found his father.

I thought the opening was a very touching memorial...I was certainly bawling. I saw Discovery Channel has last season for sale...including the After the Catch episodes! I hope they put all of the After the Catch episodes on DVD. They would all be fun to watch again, especially the first ones. I taped them at the time but then taped over the shows. Darn!

I too like Jake Anderson. I was surprised to hear he was 29 years old; I thought he was younger. He has had his share of sorrow with losing his sister then his dad disappearing.

I really like the way the show started out with Phil Harris talking and the spreading of his ashes. When they roll the opening credits and the eagle flies over I call him "Phil".

A friend of mine was flying from LAX to SEATAC on Monday, and met Jake Harris. He said Jake was friendly, self-effacing and quite lucid. Apparently, both he and Josh (who walked up just as my friend and his wife departed) had just done a segment with Dr. Drew -- whoever the hell he is.
