Ever had your debit/credit card information stolen?

It happened to me last Thursday, April 7 or that's when I first discovered it. I try to check every day online. But I was shocked to see three purchases, all for $214.98 for cameras I never would have bought. There was an address of someone from Michigan though I was surprised to hear later she wasn't necessarily the one who did this.
Had to run to the bank and of course it was raining/snowing and I'm unable to drive right now. The bank insisted the charges would be reversed but would take time. I'm SO upset over this. They gave me a new card and number but now I'm leery about using that, worried this might happen again. Would never wish this on anyone.

Have had it happen twice, and both times the credit card company was onto it before I was, called me to verify I hadn't made the purchase, changed my account numbers and mailed me new cards.

I don't know how the companies are so good to catch it so fast.

I think you can have it set up to get an e-mail alert any time a purchase is made on your debit card.
Ask at your bank.

Yes fraud was committed on my SW Visa and they were the first ones to call me. Issued a new card etc. PITA to change all my monthly reoccurring charges

it has happened to me 4-5 times, usually after I have visited Vegas. this was on 2 different chase accounts, but they seemed to have taken care of it promptly. it is very upsetting and sadly, very common.
