An identical analogy would be "When you measure just diamonds and rubies, you conclude that rocks are super valuable."

You state that US medical care is terrible and I pointed out that if it was so bad how how come US survival rates among cancer and heart patients is among the highest in the world

"The people of Massachusetts seem to like their now 5-year old reform. "

But it is bankrupting the state:
"Massachusetts spends 40 percent of its budget on health care and median-income families are expected to spend one-third of their paychecks on health care by 2016.
Now, after five years, Massachusetts is getting very serious about the cost problem. Democratic Governor Deval Patrick has proposed a sweeping bill designed to rein in health care expenses that are among the highest in the country"
Why don't we just abolish health insurance? Then health care will cost one tenth of what it does now. Of course that will put all those who work for health insurance companies out of work. Oh well.
"The Obamacare program is far more fiscally responsible than the one it replaced...including the 1/2 trillion dollar unpaid for drug program instituted by the same people who criticize the new plan which is paid for."

Outside of the bambam administration, you and 10 other people actually still believe that. Ignored in the calculation are the hundreds of billions being dumped on the states in medicaid costs. If it is such a great plan why are there 1,400 exemptions to unions as well as restaurants in pelosi's district to name a few? The obamcare plan is modeled after Mass which is coming in way over budget. Imagine the cost when you throw 300+ million people into the mix

Republicans promised to "repeal and replace" Obamacare with their own plan. But they have not offered a replacement...they have only offered a repeal - can't replace until it is repealed and it won't get out of the senate who hasn't bothered to pass a budget for 2 years.

which means we go right back to the same unfunded program they signed into law under Bush - what program is that?

speaking of unfunded, the US unfunded liability under bambam went up $6,000 billion last year

...the one that costs as much as Obama's plan but with no funding and coverage for 30 million fewer people. - obamcare care is supposed to provide hundreds of thousands of uninsured coverage but only 18,000 have signed up to date - why

And out resident LVA conservatives are cheering them on all the way in the name of fiscal responsibility. Isn't it hilarious? - I think it is sad that the democrats cannot approve a budget for 2 years and allow the goct to run deficits of $1,500 billion per year

We have a Monopoly/Cartel (AMA) that controls the supply of Doctors and the number of Medical Schools.

We have a Government Agency (FDA) + Virtual Monopolies (Big Pharma) that control the supply of medicines such that I can't go to Canada to get a cheaper perscription refill.

We have 50 state agencies that heavily regulate Insurance companies...and the industry + a like amount of Federal Regulatoin.

We have an 80 Billion Dollar a year federal bureaucracy dedicated to health care and its regulation.

Oh and medicare alone takes 1.45% from all wage earners + an equal amount for all business owners...while still headed for bankruptcy.

How many doctors advertise their prices?

How many hospitals compete for your business?

Please remind me where the "Free Market" enters into any of this. You're just comparing Heavily regulated and controlled vs Totally Regulated and Controlled.

As ever with many in this forum, most problems boil down to reading comprehension.

I do not think that and said no such thing.

Like I said. You complain the current program is not funded 100% so you support the effort to revert back to the program that is FUNDED at exactly 0%. Thats been your position for 2 years now. When anyone on your side of the aisle can intelligently ariticulate a national healthcare system that that has better quality with better funding you might have a leg to stand on in this debate. Until then you just have alot of sour grapes.
