Freezing Ice Storm now?!? Gees

We were out of school today in the Dallas area today. I think those Steeler & Packers brought our bad weather with them.
We're knee deep in it in Indianapolis. Earlier today you could literally ice skate on the roads outside. About one inch of ice. Now its snowing on top of the ice. Its gonna be ugly for a few days
Back to Back Storms here in Massachusetts. They said it would be a 43 hour event.

I'm getting about 7 inches with Storm #1, and anywhere from 15 - 24 inches with Storm #2.

This has been the worst winter we have experienced for a while.

Tired, sore and sick of it all .............. Tired of taking a vacation days to stay home to snow-blow and shovel.

We have had too many storms so far, and they wear you down, especially when there is not much of a breather in between.

They are forecasting a smaller one for Saturday too.

Vegas in 110 days !!!!

Rick
I'm in the same boat as you Rick. We live in NH, what's another two feet of snow to shovel.
This really sucks.

I'm REALLY upset. It's been in the 60's and sometimes low 70's for the last two weeks and tonight it's going down into the 30's (with clear skies) Oh! the horror.

I do sympathize. I remember those East Coast winters (which is why we're out here).

Ouch that hurts Sarah. Wis. is getting the blizzard now with 15-20 inches of snow and bitter cold tomorow, -10 tomorrow night. I see Dallas had some freezing rain. Get our Cheeseheads to drive you around. We are use to all the different weather changes. GO PACK GO!!!! Tim
I loyally went out every half hour (at work) to measure the snowfall up to the first 12 inches; then came time to drive home from work. Almost got stuck in the driveway but floored it and made it in the parking lot. My garage is the very last one--next to the woods on the north--but I made it in, then waded waist deep to get into my condo building. Then got settled in and--CABLE is off! Woe is me! No work tomorrow and I'm trapped home with no t.v.

I'll second that Mare! I don't know how people can live in that mess but I do admire their dedication.

Connie, I got a call this evening from my daughter-in-law to tell me their power was out. She said our 6 yr old granddaughter was crying because she was scared. I said "No she isn't. She's just upset because she can't watch TV!!". I asked to talk to her to try and help calm her down. She got on the phone and said "Grandma, do you have electricty?". I said "Yes, we do". She said "Can I come over to your house?". What can you say to that?

My son dropped all of them off at our house on his way to borrow a kerosene heater. By the time he returned 1 1/2 hrs. later, they found out their power was back on. So guess what? The 2 granddaughters now wanted to go home But it was a great visit! I made a choc. lava cake for a snack and we watched "Glee" (they did songs from the "Rocky Horror Show").
Mid to upper 70s here in Tampa area, though bit overcast today. Cooling off later in week. Daytime highs will only be upper 60s, lower 70s.

Just saying
