Good health news for me.

I was told that an anticipated Aorta repair can be delayed a number of years. I have no pain and the arteries have not grown nor have the anurisms gotten worse. Naturally my stress level has gone way down. It was a grat Chritmas present for me.

Good health and many good friends and relatives are the better part of life!!
I'll drink an extra one for your good health tomorrow.
Good for you John. Having your health is an excellent Holiday gift.

My wife has terminal Liver disease and Life can be Hell when you have a bad health condition.
Enjoy your turkey day in Dallas John. Great news for you and your family!

That's great, John!
Keep your blood pressure down...I'm sure they've told you.
Wanna keep you around and posting for many years to come!
I had the mitral valve repaired in February, they used a robot and went in small holes without leaving those big scars. There was much less pain then I expected, what was recently major surgery is now near routine. Recovery was a few weeks of books and TV and much too much time spent on LVA forums. By April I could visit Vegas and walk the Strip. Now I forget I had surgery this year.

I did talk to the doctors about postponing for a few years but I was not going to get younger nor stronger. Stay under the doctors care, take care of yourself and do the surgery at your right time. Fortunately for all of us Hostess Bakery is out of business and there will be no deep fried Twinkies at Mermaid's.
great news. So much can be done nowadays. granddaughter was born 4 weeks ago with hypoplastic left heart syndrome(underdevelop left heart) she had 1 of 3 heart open heart surgeries at U of M Ann Arbor mi fantastic childrens/women hospital. I had the chance to view her heart actually beating in her chest but at the time i asked for it to be covered, now I wish i viewed, only one that was too emotional to see it live. now I thought how many grandmas could have seen granddaughters actual heart beat. She came home right before Thanksgiving getting her ready for number 2 surgery in February. First was norwood, fount and next glen. Best gift would be no heart transplant ever needed. Perspective of life and needs have really changed in both sides of family. My son and daughter in law are in their 20's and are taking this on ..very strong kids. Pray for them !
Well that's excellent news and I wish all the best for you!

I like these kind of threads, The good news health ones make me smile. Unfortunately I've had my issues and am still here so I can definitely appreciate them. Good news on the health front is indeed a fantastic gift especially around the holidays.
