GOP Revisionism

"nothing works if we don't work together."

The Bowles - Simpson proposal was a good starting point but bambam chose to ignore all the proposals.

The personal income tax code needs to be completely rewritten and should be no more than 100 pages.

Want a million jobs -
1) restart the sidelined oil rigs
2) simplify the application process
3) allow offshore drilling
4) stop constricting the coal industry
5) allow fracking - 140,000 jobs created in PA alone thru this process
6) drill for natural gas
7) start building nuclear plants

In addition to all the jobs created thru the direct employment, jobs would be created in the concrete, steel, aluminum, trucking and tool industries. In addition to the jobs we would reduce our import deficit, become energy independent and grow the value of the dollar.

Net cost to the federal govt - ZERO.
what is the reason you call our President "bambam"??
I like Owebama better.
And when Bush "lied" does that mean the French, Brit, Dutch, Jordan, and all our intellegence agencies lied too? Just wondering?
And Ken, I would think you'd be more concerned about the Orygun convicts once again making our conference look horrible.
Big game losers is the image. Sad to say. At least I didn't bet on them this time. After Boise St. and OSU, and Auburn, I saw the light.
Of cousrse the putative heirs to "The New Dealer" often forget he was fundamentally opposed to the unionization of Government Workers....so maybe it works both ways.

"I like Owebama better."

That is a good one

Great ideas ! The president thinks so too which is why hes done EVERYTHING ON YOUR LIST. Drilling, Fracking, and Nuclear are all developed more openly under this president than the one Hoops voted for twice. Taxes are lower under this president than the one Hoops voted for twice. And the border has more troops on it than with the president Hoops votes for twice.

But who cares, right? If the facts dont support your disposition then simply make some new facts.

"Great ideas ! The president thinks so too which is why hes done EVERYTHING ON YOUR LIST. Drilling, Fracking, and Nuclear are all developed more openly under this president"

Actually he HASN'T. He made speeches saying he would but in reality, between him and his EPA lapdog Jackson they have put every possible roadblock up to prevent this. Oil companies are dismantling equipment & shipping it Brazil due to the problems in getting permits for the Gulf.

His tax cuts have all been temporary so what I called for is a complete revamp of the tax code
Someone needs to learn to drive the country down the center again. I still marvel at the work that Jessie Helms and Ted Kennedy did behind the scenes to get things done. Washington used to work because all the reps and senators used to be friends and not more concerned with posturing. Both sides make me sick.

Ted Kennedy "got things done" and he "brought home the bacon". So did the Daley machine in Chicago, but were they Legal "things" or just lining the pockets of people who kept getting them elected? Where did the "bacon" come from and was I the pig?

If my claim to fame was the "big dig" that cost billions and was years late and WAY over budget, I think I would prefer that "things" did not get done.

Sorry I thought you were taller. My mistake.
