Has the LVA board lost a little interest

The discussion was about why members are leaving LVA, and why others are saying that they will not renew. I was pointing out why, in my opinion, this is happening. I am not pleased that it is happening, I have until this year enjoyed my membership and wish that the relationship and trust between LVA and its members waqs as strong now as it used to be - but I don't believe this to be the case.

Now to address your response to my original post - The point wasn't that you had to mail it right away. The point was that if you believed that it was a genuine error and that the 2013 book was no use to him, you could have given the member a better experience by not insisting that he package the old book and pay the postage to mail back to you, especially considering that it will more than likely land in the recycling bin at the end of the year. My point was about the experience of the member.
My original post was about members losing interest in the LVA message board.....We have IMOO lost quite a few members that use to make reading posts a little more fun......Yes there were some trash posts but they went by the wayside quickly...The board was much more informative and with new sites coming on almost monthly the board has become less and less informative and useful to members....one person trashing another posts, the board rules being explained over and over again, board members arguring with staff and other members (got old), newer members input, and the lack of newer topics to replace the ones that are seldom used has really slow down members and the postings.....All these things togehter has made the board lose it appeal.........
I dunno. The recently shared info about getting a $100 dining credit after making Diamond through CET, which has YET to be announced in any format by CET, was big to me. I would not have known about it but for someone posting on LVA.

Overall, the FFA board is much more entertaining these days. But still some good stuff here and there. QOD is always informative, too.

I left the FFA a few months ago. It became dominated by a group of individuals who spent most of their time peeing into the wind. Ridiculous arguments that turned quite poisonous. Racism, Sexism, Homophobia all became a daily diet. it was a fun group for a long time. It is truly a sad reflection on the LVA forums that that group now has the most traffic.

Well, the more response to those types of posts the higher the flame gets. If a hate group throws a parade, and if nobody would show up, it would have more effect than a crowd of screaming bottle throwers. Unfortunately, the media needs that action.

Much of the hateful stuff on FFA, I just laugh at it and feel sorry for those who have nothing else to do but persist posting graphs and charts and other "facts" from rag publications.

Could not agree more. I enjoy Vegas related topics discussed by people who are knowledgeable about Vegas or seeking to learn more about Vegas. I mostly still find this on LVA so that is why I am still here.
The nasty flaming back and forth posts about various political topics are not interesting to me.

I very rarely have had a problem with the speed of the forums.
I haven't posted simply because I haven't had time. I definitely start checking more when I'm within 6 months of a trip to LV; since I go in June, that means Jan. usually.
But this time of year I'm working 60-80 hours/week, so I just don't have spare time. I love the LVA & the forums. I don't do Facebook or other social media, so I like being able to post on here when I have the time.
