Holloween is a cool holiday!

You can scare small children and feed them unhealthy treats without their mothers scolding you.

A mermaid and witch came to the door. I wondered how the mermaid could walk but as they turned to leave it was the witch who tripped over nothing, went catiwhompus and spilled candy everywhere. It turned out OK, little witches aren't fragile.

One group came dressed as a Fraternity, you know it may have really been a Fraternity.

This morning while walking the dogs, Brynn and Hobbs tried to help out by picking up candy wrappers. Such good doggies!

The next holiday is Thanksgiving when we will cram all of the relatives in one house for a full day and argue about who said and did what in 1967. I think I like Halloween.

We went out to dinner last night, and left the house DARK.
We don't get enough trick or treaters to make it worth our while to get up & down. lol

We had a bunch of kiddos, lots of creative costumes.
But, I was confronted with how out of touch I am with popular characters of the day.

One little boy, about 4, was all in red including cape and snug red head cover.
I said "Oh, we have a little devil. How cute."
This elicited a cold, puzzled stare from him.
I guess he was something else.

Another one looked like "The Fly" from the 1950s, goggled eyes. Probably not The Fly, though.

Gotta catch up on things next year.
