How do I avoid the radiation from my I phone

I use an Iphone with the white earbuds that come with it. I thought that by using the earbuds one avoids the Radiation that comes out of the phone . A neighbor yesterday informed me that using the ear buds is not a solution. I have looked around a bit on Google and have not come up with a fix or solution. Does any one have any ideas or solutions. Thank you in advance , Jazzlover
There are a couple of issues going on here. Let me try to unpack them...

First, you can reduce the amount of radiation your body receives from your iPhone by keeping your iPhone away from your body. The radiation isn't technically avoided, but it is reduced by the square of the distance. So using earbuds will help to the extent that they allow you to keep the iPhone physically away from you.

Of course, if use the earbuds to keep the iPhone in your pocket, then your body is still getting the same level of radiation... it's just going to the middle of your body rather than your head.

Second, there's the larger issue of whether or not the radiation emitted by your iPhone--even when held to your ear--is harmful in the first place. I'm in the camp that says it isn't.

After all, you get exposed to a certain level of radiation all the time, every day. Eating a banana exposes you to radiation, for cryin-out-loud. So does sleeping next to someone in bed or walking by a granite building. (Source) So obviously we humans can handle a bit of radiation without too much trouble.

The furthur you keep it from your body, the less radiation. Keeping it in your shirt pocket is perhaps not the best place for it.
Is the radiation harmful? I don't know but why take a chance?
When driving, I keep my phone in the ashtray of the car. When eating or drinking, it is on the table or bar-top.
If the Iphone really puts out that much radiation, I would be dead by now.

Cell phones and cell towers produce non-ionizing energy.

Because changing one's behavior based merely on unproven conjecture is superstitious and silly?

Apple recommends you not keep it next to your body. Ignoring the operating instructions seems silly to me, but whatever floats your boat.
we're getting radiation from Japan via the wind and rain so I wouldn't worry about cell phone use until it's proven we survive 2012
You should check out todays Dr Oz. They have a brain scan and shows the difference in brain activity between when you are talking and when you are talking on a cell phone. He offers what I believe to be common sense solutions, but I'm sure others will mock them as being superstitious.
