I heard Michelle Bachmann say:

Today while in Hawaii owebama used the phrase "here in Asia".

In addition to not knowing how many states there are he has moved one of our states to Asia
I can see why you would want to change the subject

President Obama was speaking in Hawaii before leaders of Asian nations at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit. During his remarks, he spoke about world leaders, with many of Asia's leaders before him. He said:

When I meet with world leaders, what’s striking -- whether it’s in Europe or here in Asia -- the kinds of fundamental reforms and changes both on the revenue side and the public pension side that other countries are having to make are so much more significant than what we need to do in order to get our books in order.

No, he wasn't in Asia, but he was speaking before Asian leaders and about Asian leaders. He was present with Asian leaders, in Hawaii.

If the GOP wants to have the electorate focus on the flubs that the presidential candidates make, you can be certain that's a focus that this president would dearly welcome.
I always think its funny when the Bushies rip on Obama for making speech gaffes.

They don't know the difference between a bright politician who occasionally fails to accurately state a thought, and a politician who reveals over and over, through his statements, that he doesn't have a single thought in his dumb, empty head.

The phrase "here in Asia" implies that he is in Asia, while he is actually in one of the 57 US states.

Interesting how owebama gaffes are considered an oops; while Republicans are stupid.

Another example of them not knowing the difference.
