I still have the vinyl LP but don’t have a turntable hooked up. I have not spun a 33 1/3 for a long time. I don’t think I could currently make it thru a 17:03 song without having to make at least one potty break.
I remembered something about the missing Iron Butterfly bass player mentioned by Anderson so I looked it up. He didn’t find Eden, he found the bottom of a canyon in Malibu and they found his bones in 1999.
There was a Las Vegas connection with Philip Taylor Kramer, the deceased butterfly; he worked on fractal compression, facial recognition systems for the defense department. You would think that a guy who was a musician in his era with a band that encouraged fans in a drug induced stupor would be kind of a burn out. Well, he was rather intelligent and/or he possibly was a natural burn out since his father had a long-running family effort to discredit Albert Einstein's theories. Some strange stuff back in the seventies man.
