Yes you can ski on your trips to Vegas.

It is about an hour north of Vegas in Mt. Charleston accessible by a 2 lane road and is a small place with only 11 trails, but I have had some fun 1 day trips there.

However they were just approved to expand to 50 trails over the next 10 years. Since the missus doesn't like to ski this may be another option for us as she could gamble while I ski. Currently we combine a winter Vegas trip with a trip to Park City.

Hopefully part of the expansion plan includes modernizing the road which often requires snow chains or 4 wheel drive
