Let us compare Kidney Stones...

jjjj21,
Is the paper cut from counting money, I hope..???

I drink more water than anyone else I know... 3 years of weight watchers will do that to you.
But I will reconsider as all of you have good information and I am not giving myself permission to pull any stunts OR be the catalyst for going BACK to any hospital ever again... so I wil follow Good Orderly Direction;which is an A.A. acornym for GOD...crazy not too, huh?

One would think the rocks in MY body would be diamonds or rubies, sigh, but alas..tis not so

anyone else got experience??? Hugs, not drugs
Personally I have never had a kidney stone - knock on wood. My boss has had several. He drinks A LOT of water and from what I have seen does his best to follow his Dr advise. His episodes of pain and passing a stone seem to be getting more frequent. He says they don't know why and have no new advice for him.

As to gallstones I had my gallbladder removed about 15 years ago. I had an attack due to passing a stone (much like passing a kidney stone) when I was pregnant with my youngest. They told me I might never have any other issues and I didn't for about 15 years. I had another attack and they suggested surgery then. I had a lot of stones on the ultrasound.

It was really easy. I was in the hospital overnight (it was a 23 hr admission). They did the surgery laproscopicly (I don't know how to spell it) so I have a small incision at my navel and 3 more that didn't even require a stitch. It was really easy and I was back at work in less than a week.
As for drinking water, I do know that this is very good for keeping us hydrated so that our bodies can run good. It helps to flush out toxins and to basically keep things well lubricated to keep running properly.

A way to tell if a person is dehydrated is to check the Urine. If it is very Yellow, then the person needs to be drinking more water. Urine is supposed to be very clear or maybe very slightly Yellow!

I don't mean to frighten you or anything NC and there's prob unrelated but i had a kidney stone in may and while i wnet to the ER they took x-rays and MRI. Along with the stone they also saw what turned out to be a cancerous tumor in m y left kidney. I had the kidney removed in july and turns out it was encapsolated in there,so never spread anywhere(thank god). Again,i know its prob no correaltion but never hurts to make sure.

Might be worth it to find out what the kidney stone is made of. Weight-lifter type friend of mind had a kidney stone that was citric acid from overdoing his Vitamin C supplements to avoid getting sick.
Not much to add but hope that you do not get them anymore!
