LV condos

Looking for suggestions on condominium communities in/near Las Vegas. Preferably in a gated community as we will not be living there year round. I saw some reasonable ones called Park Avenue (on Agate a few miles south of the strip) Is anyone familiar with this area?

I moved to Vegas this year, with the intention of buying a condo. Weeks of looking convinced me renting was a better deal. Market is very tight right now.
There are bargains aplenty in Laughlin but not in Vegas, imo.
