My Alarm clock stopped working

Back in the day, it was hi tech swanky Playboy chic-- back in the late 80's....I mean

I need a new clock/alarm

someone at work suggested I use my cell phone.. that's not going to happen.
Who keeps their cell phone on at night?
I pretty much only have it on weekends..it's the free phone that comes w/ a cheap plan- barely last a day w/ it's crappy battery.

You?
What do you use to wake you up in the mornings?

How old is it?

Drat- I hate shopping..
How about this one?

You can order online:

BarryManilowAlarmBlock
I have a small digital clock (takes up very little space on my nightstand) that I bought at the grocery store, lol. (In the "small appliances" aisle.) It has a snooze alarm option and still works fine after several years.
I hate alarm clocks and just rely on my body clock. But every once in awhile my husband will feel that he needs to set the alarm and it drives me crazy because then he doesn't take it off and it keeps coming on for days afterward. And dummy me I don't know how to turn that off! Next time I might just throw it against the wall.

I guess I'm one of the lucky ones that wake up on time without the need for an alarm clock.

The only time I use an alarm clock is when I have to get to the airport for an early AM flight to Vegas, which I obviously don't want to risk missing.

Noahcat,

I use a Sony Dream Machine Cube that I got from one of the casinos about 5 years ago. I can set it to go off by radio or alarm or both. It has a button on the side to turn on/off daylight savings time. I can hit the snooze button to go off in increments of ten minutes. It has a sleep function for the radio and a nap timer. It has been very dependable.
I haven't actually "used" an alarm in years. I do have one that I set when I have to be up very early, but I always wake up 15-20 minutes before it goes off. Why do I use it, you ask? If I don't set it, I'll wake up two hours early with no chance of going back to sleep! Follow Sue's lead and get a simple digital with or w/o music. Should be able to find one for $10-12.

Good Luck!

thanks all,
i need to look on my swag counter- betting i have one of those dream machine cubes from years back un-opened!!!!

My neighbor raises roosters. They wake me up. Can't take 'em on a plane though....so they don't make good travel alarms.
I used to use a really cool, retro-lookin' wind up job. It was great, but I eventually broke it.

Now I just use my trusty travel alarm clock. Looks like this:
