Name the song the line is from Part II

This is the continuation of the over-grown thread started by Noahcat back in February, 2008. It’s still the same game. Guess the song from the lines presented and leave lines to another song. Newcomers are most welcome. We are a friendly bunch here, so jump in if you know the song.

Let’s play!

You see it all around you
Good lovin' gone bad
And usually it's too late when you,
realize what you had

PS, Thanks noahcat

I have no idea but am glad someone finally started a new thread. The old one took too long to load.
Yep, that old thread got big and cumbersome, but jeez, it was fun. Thanks, noahcat.

As I'm sure some of you will recognize, I'm stealing and paraphrasing a few lines from the movie Apollo 13 here:

She sure was a good thread.
So long, Lyrics Thread 1, and we thank you.

Cyndee, your lyrics are from Hold On Loosely, by .38 Special. To me, they and Exile defined the Southern rock genre at the time.

This is early 70s:

Had my hand on the dollar bill
And the dollar bill blew away
But the sun is shining down on me
And it's here to stay

That’s “I just want to celebrate” by Rare Earth

Okay, here’s some mid-1970s

On a morning from a Bogart movie
In a country where they turn back time
You go strolling through the crowd
like Peter Lorre
Contemplating a crime

Hey! That's The Year of the Cat!
by some Al guy.... Hmmmm... Stewart?

Holding hands at Midnight
"Neath a starlite Sky.....
“Nice work if you can get it” Done by many and all in different styles. My parents used to dance every time they heard that.

Oops, I got a little nostalgic there.

Here’s one a little newer:

It's an uphill climb
To the finish line
We're gonna try to make it
One more time
Well this is a little harder than I thought, so I'll hint. I already posted another of this duo’s songs from 1969. This one is from 1972.
It has been covered by several, most notably Hall and Oats.

A little more:

Starting all over as friends is gonna be tough, on us
But we gotta face it

I remember that one. It's Starting All Over Again, by (I think) Mel and Tim?

This song goes back to the 40s, but probably the best known version was a #1 hit in 1958:

Deep in the dark your kiss will thrill me, like days of old
Lighting the spark of love that fills me with dreams untold

That's "Twilight Time," by the Platters (and others).

New lyrics --

"Till he holds me,
I'll wait impatiently"

That be Where The Boys Are, by Connie Francis.

This one's been covered several times, but it was first recorded in 1965, to a famous beat:

I know a girl who's soft and sweet
She's so fine she can't be beat
