Name the song the line is from Part II

Back in the day, I had friends who absolutely hated that song, Cyn. Never understood why. I loved it.

It's Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da, by The Fab Four.

This was a chart topper in 1986:

I'm gettin' too close again
I don't want to see it end
If I tell you tonight
Would you turn out the light
And walk away
Knowing I love you?

Hint: This group took its name from a large northeastern city.

Boston "Amanda"

"To hate all the people your relatives hate"
Good Morning all,

I googled, so I’m out. But, it led me on a very interesting tangent.

Thanks, Bard.

________ ______ ___ ____ _____ to be afraid
Of people whose eyes are oddly made,
And people whose skin is a different shade;
________ ______ ___ ___ carefully _______.

One of the great musicals, and still relevant.
I think it's You Have to be Carefully Taught, from The King & I, by Rodgers and Hammerstein.
New lyrics:

"Just I and my friend,
We'll travel for miles ..."
You've got to be taught
Before it's too late!
Before you are six or seven or eight
To hate all the people your relatives hate-
You've got to be carefully taught;
You've got to be carefully taught.

"You've Got to Be Carefully Taught" came from "South Pacific" but it would have been appropriate to "The King and I" as well.

"Come Saturday Morning"

Well, you can tell by the way I use my walk,
I'm a woman's man- no time to talk;
"Stayin' Alive" by the Brothers Gibb

Love is great, love is right,
keeps you warm late at night when you need it.

Had to google that one.

Well known artist alright, but don't recall the song at all.

Anyway, I'm out.

Two word title. Both begin with the same letter. Singer is a senior citizen.

Not one of His biggest hits. I wouldn't consider it a diamond in the rough.
