Name the song the line is from Part II

Mine was Treetop Flyer by Stephen Stills. (Of Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young fame).
This is him playing solo acoustic.
Beautiful fingerpicking in open tuning

Regarding the above post, for myself I like to learn of cover versions that I may not have heard, but I will usually try to name the original first, particularly if that artist was the writer.

I just love music - always been a music junkie - still own far too many guitars and far too much music.
I really enjoy the wide range of musical challenges here in this thread.

Anyone have new one?

Cyndee, I meant no offense. I've only heard it by Rita Coolidge. Didn't know Boz Scaggs wrote it until I googled the song.

OK, here's one from 1971:

Oh, I see her face everywhere I go
On the street, and even at the picture show

Good Morning All,

I was just thinking of that one, Jim. It’s “Have You Seen Her?” by the Chi-Lites.

This was fun on TV, but I never heard it elsewhere:

Why did you leave me here all alone?
I searched the world over,
And thought I found true love.

I remember a few fun songs from the Hee Haw TV program back in the 60s or 70s.

I wonder if your song may be from there, Cyn. I can't remember the title, but I think the next few lines went something like this:

You met another, and pffft, you were gone.

Is the title in there somewhere?

I'm too uncertain, so I won't post new lyrics.

Yes, Jim, it's from Hee Haw, but I never thought it was a "real" song -- just a lead-in to various comedy bits, lol. I don't know what the name of it is, or if it had more lyrics than just those couple of lines. I can hear 2 of the funny guys on the show singing it. LOL
I don't know the name but I used to jam with an old American Folkie, and he used to play that. He always called it the Buck Owens song.

Yes Jim.

The title (or at least one of them) is “PFFT You Was Gone”. The ones I found on the net had lots of different verses. I used the one recorded by Buck Owens on his album “Too old to cut the mustard”. But, there were quite a few other versions.

I think it’s Jim’s turn.

Edit: Sloppy typing.

Wow, I didn't expect to get that one. Wasn't there another goofy Hee Haw song about Gloom, Despair, and Agony, or something like that? I used to sing it to myself when things didn't go so well which, back then, happened quite frequently.

OK, 1967 here:

But if I really say it, the radio won't play it
