Sue??

Kinda folk/pop

Here are the opening four lines -

She would meet me in the morning on my way down to the river
Waitin' patient by the chinaberry tree
With her feet already dusty from the pathway to the levee
And her little blue jeans rolled up to her knees

I’m not quite sure about this one, but I like listening to it:

I'm coming straight for your heart.
No way you can stop me now,
as fine as you are.

Edited for grammar

I know that one. It's I'll Wait by Van Halen.

Some 70s here:

Thought that's just how much it cost to survive in this world

That is “Haven’t got time for the pain” by Carly Simon. I like her stuff.

Speaking of someone with a fist name for a last name:

Can you imagine how I feel today?

You said it belonged to me, made me stop and think,
But then I know it’s yours as well, mine was baby pink.

I think that's Lipstick On Your Collar, by Connie Francis.

Some mid-80s:

When it gets too much, I need to feel your touch

That's I Can See For Miles, by The Who.

From 1976:

There's something inside
That's making me crazy
I'll try to keep it together

That was the year I dropped out of the music scene for a while
I know the title - but several bands recorded it - Don't know who was first.
If nobody gets it tomorrow I'll post the title and a couple of guesses as to who recorded it first.
