Name the song the line is from Part II

That’s “All I Need is a Miracle” by Mike and The Mechanics.

Here’s one from 1977:

I consider it a challenge
before the whole human race
And I ain't gonna lose

That's We Are The Champions, by Queen.

From 1967:

We'll find a cloud to hide us
We'll keep the moon beside us

...love is waiting there in my beautiful, my...
Beautiful Balloon-- 5th Demension/ nice choice!!

a tear jerker:

And I'm bein' true
and I'd love to be with you
... 'if only I could..
I think that’s “Honey” by Bobby Goldsboro.

Here’s a cheerful one from 1964:

Every now and then, we hear our song

I think that's All Summer Long, by the Beach Boys.

From 1969:

And when he lets go
Half a valley shakes

Brother Love's Traveling Salvation Show by Neil Diamond

new line

And who'll deny it's what the fighting's all about

Us And Them, by Fink Ployd.

Some 60s:

Well, you think you're gonna find yourself a little piece of paradise

That be “Kicks” by Paul Revere and the Raiders.

Try this:

So come with me
Turn night to day

That's one of Phil's favorite groups, I think -- The Moody Blues singing Gemini Dream.

Mid-70s here:

The less I say the more my work gets done

More lines, and a few hints:

I used to be a heart beating for someone
But the times have changed
The less I say the more my work gets done

The song was a #1 US hit in 1975 for a well known English songwriter, singer, and pianist.

The timing, title, and lyrics suggested that perhaps the song was written for the U.S. Bicentennial, to be celebrated in 1976. But, according to Wikipedia, it actually had more to do with the singer’s desire to dedicate a new song to a female American tennis star he had recently befriended. The title of the song was the same as the name of the professional tennis team of which she was a member.
