Name the song the line is from Part II

That's Summer Of '69, by Bryan Adams. Back then, as he says in the song, the summer seemed to last forever. Good one!

Speaking of '69, this one was a #5 hit that year:

You let me know everything's all right

Another line and a hint:

When you hold me in your arms so tight
You let me know everything's all right

The singer's given name was Billy Joe, but he just used the initials when he recorded.

Later cover versions by different artists were hits in the UK (#23 in 1971) and Canada (#1 Country in 1978). A 1974 cover by a Swedish group did well in the US.

That's "Hooked on a Feeling," by BJ Thomas.

Can't think of anything to post, so the floor is open.

Here's one from '67:

Rowboats, bird notes
People smilin' everywhere that we go

I think that may have been called "Lazy Days," but I'm not sure. I can hear it in my head, though, lol.

In case I'm right, here's one --

"Oh, I don't know just why,
She simply caught my eye"

Sorry, double post.

I saw this one last night. I remembered the song, by The Cowsills, but I couldn't remember the title. Took a while, but I think it's one of those in which the title isn't mentioned in the lyrics.

Pretty sure it's The Rain, The Park, And Other Things.

Here's an easy one from the late 60s:

And I need you more than want you

Jim, I thought the Cowsills song was called "I Love the Flower Girl," or something like that, LOL. You're probably right, though.

Yours is "Wichita Lineman," by Glen Campbell.

Nothing new comes to mind at the moment ...

Edited to add: I googled "I Love the Flower Girl," and that seems to be the title.

Sue, I think the song has come to be known by both titles over the years.

The Cowsills website gives the lyrics for The Rain, The Park, And Other Things here. There is no listing for I Love The Flower Girl, but, as you mentioned, I can find the same lyrics under that title at other websites.

Anyway, here's another one (easy, I think):

You say you fear I'll change my mind
And I won't require you

I Associate these lyrics with "Never My Love" Have I said that before ?
