Name the song the line is from Part II

Looks like umpire48 isn't going to post lyrics.

Let's try this one. It was originally a 60s hit, but an 80s version by a different group did even better on the charts:

Won't you stop and remember me

I believe that was Hazy Shade of Winter off the Bookends Album - S & G

Ahhh, seasons change with the scenery
Weaving time in a tapestry
Won't you stop and remember me . . .

Heading back to Washington for a couple of days so I'll leave it open

Hi All,

I just missed guessing “A Hazy Shade of Winter” by the time I found this.

It’s form 1966:

Baby, then there wouldn't be a single thing we couldn't do

Good Morning All,

Let’s see if we can get this moving.
The name of the album it came from looks like you might hear animals on it.
A certain member of this hugely popular American band described the theme of the song this way:
“It expresses the frustrations of youth, what you can't have, what you really want and you have to wait for it."

I’ll be back with more lines if nobody gets it by noon PDT.

ummm er... Fleetwood Mac's TUSK?
It's from 1966 and I don't think any of the songs have the same name as the album.

Edited bad sentence structure

Wouldn't It Be Nice if someone did the lyrics from a Beach Boys song?

I guess that must be from the Pet Sounds album, right, Cyn?

This was a 1960 novelty tune:

From the locker to the blanket
From the blanket to the shore
From the shore to the water
Guess there isn't any more

Yes Jim,

PET SOUNDS was the name of the Beach Boys album. A lot of hits came from that one.

Your lines are the last ones from “Itsy Bitsy, Teeny Weenie, Yellow Polka Dot Bikini”.

This one went to #13 in 1977:

The music's so loud you can hear the sound
reachin' for the sky and tearin' up the ground

I like that one.

It's Rock 'n' Roll Fantasy, by Bad Company.

Early 70s here:

She just looked out the window
She said, "Sixteen Parkside Lane"

AH! Taxi by Harry Chapin-- loved him, serious fan worship. He was BRILLIANT!
-- saw the accident on the LIE which ended his life as I was going the other way. didn't know it was him of course- learned it that night
gone too soon~~~
