Name the song the line is from Part II

Quote

It don't really matter to me, baby
You believe what you want to believe...

....You see, you don't have to live like a Refugee.

That's what Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers said, anyway. Great song!

Some 80s:

Let 'em say we're crazy
What do they know?

OK, that was a pretty skimpy clue. Here are some more lines:

Let 'em say we're crazy
What do they know?
Put your arms around me, baby
Don't ever let go

Let the world around us
Just fall apart
Baby, we can make it
If we're heart to heart

The song was a #1 hit in 1987.

That’s “Nothing’s gonna stop us now”. What was their name at the time? They kept changing it and I lost track.

Billboard called this the #1 hit from 1978:

Give me more, drag me across the floor

By the time they did Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now, I'm pretty sure that Jefferson Airplane, having previously morphed into Jefferson Starship, had finally morphed into just plain old Starship.

Your song is Shadow Dancing, but I can't remember if it was done by all of the Brothers Gibb (Bee Gees), or just one of them. Dunno.

This was a 1983 ballad:

And loving a music man
Ain't always what it's s'posed to be

That one is “Faithfully” by Journey. It’s nice.

BTW, “Shadow Dancing” was done by Andy Gibb. He was their younger brother, but he never joined the Bee Gees.

This is from 1967:
We'll both live a lot longer if you live without me.

Good one! I sure remember that song.

It's Different Drum, and it was the first thing I'd ever heard by Linda Ronstadt. I think the group was originally called the Stone Poneys, but soon became Linda Ronstadt and the Stone Poneys.

OK, staying in the 60s, this 1965 hit was later covered by several others:

I love her
She loves me
But I don't fit
In her society

I think that's "Down in the Boondocks." Can't remember who sang it, though.

"A girl from that place would
just bring me disgrace"
I'm Thinking "Rag Doll", but I can't really pin it down. I'm not sure at all.
Not Rag Doll, Cyndee.

Hint -- the singer's name was Dickie Lee.
