Name the song the line is from Part II

Really like that one, Tony.

It's Touch Of Grey, by the Grateful Dead.

This was the title track of a 1975 album, released as a single in 1976:

Fly me away to the bright side of the moon
And meet me on the other side

I believe that's :

Dreamweaver.

You believe right.

You're up, Ben.

Thanks Jim
new:
True love means planning a life for two
Being together the whole day through

I believe that’s “Hey Paula” by Paul and Paula. It’s the only song of theirs that I recognize, lol.

Look what I found from 1955:

Can't you see you're in my way now
Don't you know you cramp my style
I think that's "See Ya Later, Alligator," by Bill Haley & the Comets.

"To fight for the right, without question or pause,
to be willing to march into hell for a heavenly cause"
I want to say Man of La Manchia by Robert Goulet...my New York roots are showing.. he was on B'way for years singing that.. The Impossible Dream.
sigh,
-thoses were the days when men were men even wearing tights and make-up...

My grandma and your grandma
were sittin by da fire

I'm thinking that's Iko, Iko, by the Dixie Cups.

Here's one from 1959:

Some jealous so-and-so wants us to part
That's why he's telling you that I've got a cheatin' heart
Don't believe all those lies
Darling, just believe your eyes

Adding a few more lines, including the 6-word song title:

Some jealous so-and-so wants us to part
That's why he's telling you that I've got a cheatin' heart
Don't believe all those lies
Darling, just believe your eyes
And look, look, __ _____ __ __ ____ ____
I love nobody but you

As you might guess from the new lines, the last word of the title rhymes with 'look.'

The song was a #3 hit in 1959. I don't recall anything else by this artist, so the song may be a one-hit wonder.

The artist was 18 years old when he recorded this. He's 70 now and retired, but still performs occasionally at oldies festivals.

I'll be out this afternoon and early evening, so I'll give it up if no one gets it in the next hour or two.

Well, I guess that one ain't gonna work.

It was My Heart Is An Open Book, by Carl Dobkins, Jr.

Back later. The floor is open.
