Cyn, that's We Are The World, by Michael and company. I can't remember what they called themselves.

OK, this Brooklyn-born performer sang his own material, and also wrote hits for others. Most folks think of him as a 60s artist, but his most successful single came a little later, topping the charts for 3 consecutive weeks in October, 1975:

From where I stand, it looks mighty strange
How you let a woman like that treat you like small change
I don’t understand what you’re lookin’ to find
The only thing ___ ______ do is mess up a good man’s mind

This guy's still performing today, BTW.

This one may not work.

Even though this 1975 song was this artist's biggest hit ever, I've noticed that most folks don't remember it. Ask them to name something this artist sang, and they'll almost invariably mention one of his 60s hits, such as Breaking Up Is Hard To Do, or Calendar Girl, or Happy Birthday, Sweet Sixteen.

Neil Sedaka's Bad Blood

A great song, with great lyrics

this one won't last long

And that old north wind begins to blow

I dunno, I think anything over 30 minutes is a pretty long time.

That's You've Got A Friend, written (and first recorded, I think) by Carole King. Most folks remember James Taylor's version. Great song!

This song dates to the 30s, and first reached #1 in 1939. In 1963, a brother and sister duo recored an up-tempo version (there's a hint about one singer's name there), and took it to#1 again. They both had stage names, so their last names didn't match:

When the _____ _______ falls
Over sleepy garden walls
And the stars begin to twinkle in the sky
In the mist of a memory
You wander back to me

Howsa about 3 minutes there champ !

I'm the one
Who must make everything right
Talk it out till daylight

I think you killed the thread with your choice of lyrics, Phil. Shame on you.

I'm proud to say that I've never done that. Well, except for once. Alright, maybe twice.

Hmm, then there was that third time...

Aw, nevermind.
