Oh Good Clue!

You Can't Hurry Love - Diana Ross

*************** NEW *********************

Big on both sides of the pond -

Your mother who neglected you owes a million dollars tax

That one right there is your 19th Nervous Breakdown, by the Stones.

I don't know why, but:

I get this feeling I may know you

That’s looking like “Peaceful Easy Feeling” by The Eagles.

If that’s the one, I understand this was from 1960:

I’ve gotta stand tall
You know a man can’t crawl

Edit: Hi there, Phil. It's good to see you.

Hey Phil, say hi to Don for me!

Cathy's Clown

Try:

In the pool halls, the hustlers and the losers
I used to watch 'em through the glass

Bob

That's one of my favorite artists, Bob.

He's that other Bob from Michigan (Mr. Seger), doing Main Street.

I'm not much of a fisherman, but I liked this one:

Now when you're feeling low and the fish won't bite

"A Little Bit O' Soul" by the Music Explosion [had to look up the group's name]

How about:

Like a bird, you left your robin's nest
And-a just like all the rest you flew away

heh,he,heh,....Bob

The Jarmels told us that could be handled with just A Little Bit Of Soap.

Not-so-mainstream Motown:

You say you're coming home
Yet you never phone
Leave me all alone

Hi All,

Well, we went from “A Little Bit of Soul” to “A Little bit of Soap”, and now “Every Little Bit Hurts”. I know it was done by a “Motown” artist in the 60s, I just don’t recall who. But I do know I like it better by Alicia Keys who did it much later. JMO.

Let’s see now. I think this hit from 1978 kind of fits:

I'm trapped
Trapped in the spell of your eyes
In the warmth of your arms
In the web of your lies

Would that be A Little More Love, by Ms. Newton-John?

All I ask is this:

I hope when you decide
Kindness will be your guide
