Great song from The Beatles - Paperback Writer
( I'm waiting for the Indie version - Paperback Raita)

************** NEW ***************

Brit band - sixties - hit both sides of the pond -

I know it's been said before
Say you love me and I will be sure

Added clue - here is the middle eight -

Do you think I'm foolin'
When I say "I love you"?
I love you
Maybe you'll believe me
When I'm finally through, through, through, through

Added clue - probably the most energetic singer to come out of England

Edited to add final clue - and I thought that this was an easy one!

It charted number 1 in the USA

Don't know whether or not nobody knows it - highly unlikely - or if everyone is out partying. I suspect that everyone is out partying so I won't post the song - but I will be out for most tomorrow - so in the unlikely event that nobody knows this Number one song - please feel free to ignore it and post a new one. (Of course, if you do you'll never hear the end of it )

That's I'm Telling You Now, by Freddie And The Dreamers.

I knew it yesterday but couldn't answer because my internet service was down all evening. Seems to be OK today.

The 1967 original of this song reached #4 on the US charts, but a 1987 cover did even better, reaching the top spot in both the US and UK:

Look at the way we gotta hide what we're doin'

Hi All,

Wow, Jim. Did Tiffany’s version of “I think we’re alone now” really do better than the one by Tommy James? I had no idea. But then, it was the 80s after all. I believe that’s when Techno-Pop started, right? I noticed that it inspired “Weird” Al to write his parody. “I think I’m a Clone Now”. I thought that was pretty clever.

We can slow it down for another 80s hit:

So, what's the glory in living?
Doesn't anybody ever stay together anymore?

Hey, I just got an offer I can’t refuse. So, I’ll be out today without knowing just when I’ll be back. If someone knows this one, then great. If not, you can move on.

Have a great day, All

Cyndee

OK, have fun, Cyn.

That's a very nice song, BTW. What's Forever For?, by Michael Martin Murphy.

Just for fun:

Knotted, polka-dotted, twisted, beaded, braided
Powdered, flowered, and confettied
Bangled, tangled, spangled, and spaghettied

HAIR! Cast, plus I think that the Cowsills recorded it.

Sixties Hit

if only you’d started ringing your bell.
