Name the song the line is from Part II

Wow, I think I'd pretty much forgotten that fun little ditty.

The Beat Goes On, by Sonny and Cher. Good choice!

OK, who's the dummy that started this six-word stuff, huh? This one is NOT six words:

I go to parties sometimes until four
It's hard to leave when you can't find the door

That’s a top-notch song right there, Jim. It’s “Life’s Been Good” by Joe Walsh

Let’s live the high life here:

'Cause the boy with the cold hard cash is always Mr. Right

That sounds a whole lot like Madonna Louise Veronica Ciccone. She was a Material Girl, you know.

These guys had aspirations of a different kind:

Well, we're big rock singers
We got golden fingers
And we're loved everywhere we go
(That sounds like us)

Good morning all.

I really like Madonna - Material Girl.

Edited to add clues - Nineties - Featured in a movie. Once performed by Pavarotti and Friends

Jim's tune is Cover of the Rolling Stone done by Dr. hook (I think). Very catchy tune with funny lyrics. I think the band actually did get their picture on the cover of RS when their hit came out.

I don't have anything new so let's stay with Tonyrob's:

Any song that did that poorly on the Japan Oricon Weekly Singles Chart is probably not going to be very well known.

and life is sweet and good
