Name the song the line is from Part II

Very nice! Jazzy, but smoooooth. Turn Your Love Around, by George Benson.

This 1981 song opened up new possibilities for these guys. Before they did this one, they were considered to be strictly a hard rock band:

It's more than a touch, or a word we'd say
Only in dreams could it be this way

When originally formed in 1976, this band consisted of 3 Yanks and 3 Brits. That led one member to suggest a name for the band, and it stuck.

This successful 1981 single (#2 US/ #8 UK) marked the band’s first attempt at “soft” rock.

Let’s see if a few more lines might help:

You're so good, when we make love it's understood
It's more than a touch, or a word we’d say
Only in dreams could it be this way
When you love someone, yeah, really love someone

Now I know it's right, from the moment I wake up till deep in the night
There's nowhere on earth that I'd rather be than holding you tenderly

I've been _______ ___ _ ____ ____ ___ to come into my life

I'll give it up a little later if it doesn't work.

That's a really good one, Tony. Roll With It, by Steve Winwood.

I liked this one in 1970 (#1 US & UK):

When you're weary
Feeling small
When tears are in you eyes
I will dry them all

Simon and Gar
Bridge Over Troubled Water

I believe that I own a copy of every Paul Simon track ever recorded - BIG Fan!

I'll leave it open as I'll be out most of the time until " late in the evening" As Paul wrote.

Here’s a classic from 1978:

Everyone I know, everywhere I go
People need some reason to believe

That's a good one, alright. It's Running On Empty, by Jackson Browne.

This is from 1976:

It's a sad, sad situation
And it's getting more and more absurd

It’s “Sorry Seams To Be The Hardest Word” by Elton John. That is one sad song, and it says so much. But, that’s another song all together.

Let’s go to 1973:

We like our fun and we never fight
You can't dance and stay uptight
